Life Drawing: Life drawing

these are a collection of drawings of poses that we were told to do without thinking too much abut details. They are to be quick 3 minute drawings.

Life drawing isn't new to me as I practised a lot in college and so i knew certain techniques that benefitted me a lot. I do however struggle to see the details or specific shapes when drawing with a short time limit. I'm happy with how they look however.

This was where we had to spend a long time with one study of a pose and, we also had to use charcoal and shade in a very exaggerated way that shows the light and dark more clearly.

I'm really happy with how this looks, i feel like I have shown the light and dark areas very clearly and it still looks like the pose.

For this session we had to make several face studies given very little time to do so. I feel like I learned a lot from this and i'm really happy with how the studies look as they're finished.

These are some other quick studies of several different poses again given very little time to do so. I am very pleased with my proportions considering the time I was given to do them.

For this session we had to do studies overlapping given a time lapse. This was to practise and improve our animation ability, whilst drawing the model as he walks past. I am happy with how it shows the difference from a distance to how he gets closer.

This is another example in which the life model did different movements as he walked. this was a lot more challenging to do, however i am still very happy with how it shows each drawing together like frames.

This is a group of life drawings drawn using every day people as reference for them, after walking around the street and drawing what we see.

Here we did a lot of observation of legs, leg movement, how it's affected by weight being put on each leg and how legs move when walking and using muscles.
